Hazel Inez (Redman) Cantrell, 88, of Evansville, passed away Wednesday, December 21, 2011, at the home of her daughter. She was born in Smithville, TN on July 14, 1923.
She was employed by Shane's until her retirement in 1983 and attended Central United Methodist Church.
Hazel was preceded in death by her husband, Solon Cantrell; parents, Rassie and Ida (Young) Redman; 12 siblings; grandson, Jeffrey Ashby; and several nieces and nephews.
She is survived by her four children, Micheal Cantrell (Flossie), Sherry Hiatt (Charlie), Sandara Ault (Alan) and Carylon Marshall (Ronald); six grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
Visitation at 2:00 PM Friday, December 23, 2011, with service at 5:00 PM, at Alexander West Chapel, officiated by Rev. Joe Easley. Burial in Horton Springs Cemetery in Smithville, TN.
Memorial contributions may be made to Central United Methodist Church. Condolences may be made online at www.AlexanderWestChapel.com.

Sandy, Alan and family-I am truly sorry for your loss of your amazing Mom- she was such an inspiration to me and had such a sweet spirit. I know the girls are certainly gong to miss her as much as you. Everyone loved her so- Thinking of you at this time. Barb Dennis
