Lorraine Scheibel Obituary

SCHEIBEL Lorraine A. Ouellet Scheibel, age 81 of Stratford, beloved wife of the late Raymond W. (Red) Scheibel, passed away, Friday, May 13, 2011 at St. Vincent's Medical Center. Lorraine was born in Providence, R.I., daughter of the late Phillip and Albertine LaVoie Ouellet and beloved granddaughter to Phillomene LaVoie. A resident of Stratford since 1957, Lorraine was a member of the Order of St. Dominic, and received a Recognition Award for Nursing Arts. She was predeceased by her beloved son, Raymond W. Scheibel, and is survived by her beloved children, daughter, Leslie A. Scheibel, and son, Richard W. Scheibel and wife, Ann, all of Stratford, two dear grandsons, Christopher Scheibel and wife, Katherine and Kevin Scheibel, several nieces and nephews, and grandnieces and nephews, cousin, Doris Ruggieri and husband, Tony; additional cousins, and also dear friends, George and Eileen Charlesworth and their children, Dory and Zeke of Guilford. Lorraine was also predeceased by her brother, Paul Ouellet and three sisters, Therese Ouellet, Claire Reardon, and Lucille Veach. She will be lovingly remembered by all the lives she has touched. Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 10:30a.m., meeting directly in St. James Church, 2110 Main Street, Stratford, with a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow in St. Michael's Cemetery. Friends may call Monday from 4 to 8p.m., in the Redgate - Hennessy Funeral Home, Main Street and Gorham Place, Trumbull. Dear Leslie and family,
Sorry to learn of dear Lorraine's passing.
The Dominican Third Order has begun its prayers, rosaries, Masses, etc. for our dear sister.
