Daniel Scinto Obituary

SCINTO Daniel Scinto, age 90, of Bridgeport, passed away on Tuesday, June 5, 2012 in St. Vincent's Medical Center, Bridgeport. Mr. Scinto, a WW II Veteran of the U.S. Army was born in Bridgeport, to the late Leonard and Lucia (Capuano) Scinto, and has been a life long area resident. Daniel was an avid bowler, golfer, and U-Conn fan. He was a member of Fairchild Wheeler Golf Course, and was a former coach of the Bridgeport Raiders Pop Warner team and was a volunteer to the Notre Dame of Fairfield Football program.Survivors include his beloved children Wayne D. Scinto and his wife Gail of Bridgeport, Glen D. Scinto and his wife Robin of Stratford, and Lorie A. Scinto of Fairfield, 5 cherished grandchildren Steven, Sharon, Elizabeth, Nicole, and Ryan, a brother Larry Scinto of Ansonia, 4 sisters Margaret Meldon, and Lena Kuhar both of Trumbull, Lucy Basala, of Branford, and Rose Scinto of Milford, and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will take place on Saturday June 9th at 9 a.m. in the Adzima Funeral Home 50 Paradise Place Stratford. Interment with full military honors will be in Willowbrook Cemetery, Westport. I knew Danny over 30 years at Fairchild Wheeler. I'm so sorry I missed the services for him. He was a very quiet man, but never hesitated to help someone with their golf game. So sorry to hear of your loss.
