Eleanor E. Rudolph
Dec. 3, 1923 - Jan. 8, 2012

Eleanor E. Rudolph, 88, of Farmington, passed away on Sunday, Jan. 8, 2012, at the Bridge in Farmington. Eleanor was born Dec. 3, 1923, in Brooklyn, N.Y., the daughter of Otto R. Jacobson and Amelia Mowry Jacobson.
She attended Pierce School of Business in Philadelphia, Pa.
Eleanor lived most of her life in Cedar Grove, N.J., and Point Pleasant Beach, N.J. She was employed as a loan officer by Cedar Grove Savings and Loan.
She just celebrated her 88th birthday with her family, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Eleanor enjoyed cooking, entertaining, church activities, gardening, swimming in the Atlantic Ocean and camping at Lake George, N.Y.
She will best be remembered for her friendly and helpful personality, good cooking, volunteering for the Boy Scouts, hospital and church involvement.
She will be greatly missed by all her family and friends.
Eleanor married Grover Carl Rudolph on March 1, 1947. He preceded her in death on March 19, 2008. She also was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Bruce Jacobsen; and sister Phyllis.
Eleanor leaves behind her children, daughter, Pamela Souther and husband, William, of Farmington; sons, Bruce Rudolph and wife, Sara, of Carlsbad, Calif., Dr. David Rudolph and wife, Patricia, of Palmer, Alaska; grandchildren, Kimberly Tornquist and husband, Nolan, of Phoenix, Ariz., Kristopher Souther of San Diego, Calif., Eric Souther of Hermosa Beach, Calif., Laura Rudolph of Carlsbad, Calif. and Eleanor Rudolph of Boston, Mass.; great-grandchildren, Dylan Tornquist and Carissa Tornquist; sisters, Nancy Lynch of Pennsylvania, and her children, Rus and Barbara Chisena and David and Jodi Chisena, sister, Marjorie Morgan of Pennsylvania and her children, Cindy Clements, Ellen Morgan and Jenny Morgan Cassidy; a brother, John Jacobson of Delaware and many friends.
Cremation will take place.
No services will be held in New Mexico. Services are pending in Point Pleasant Beach, N.J.
Eleanor's services are entrusted to Brewer, Lee & Larkin Funeral Home, 103 E. Ute St. in Farmington, 505-325-8688.
