ENGLEWOOD — John "Jack" F. Manier, age 91, of Englewood, passed away on Thursday, April 21, 2016.
He was a wonderful poet and had a regular entry or commentary in the Versailles Policy, his words always spoke of God and Country; two things he was very fond of and spoke of often. Jack worked as an assembler at NCR for 38 years before retiring and was a member of their Bible class for over 20 years. He loved to take walks in the Englewood Metropark and appreciate God's creation.
He is survived by his sons and daughters-in-law: Keith (Linda) Manier of Greenville, Dr. Stephen (Donna) Manier of Michigan, John (Nancy) Manier of Miamisburg, nephew: Bradley (Karen) Manier of New York, great-nephew: Eli, grandchildren: Brooke, Chantelle, Emily, Joshua, Joseph, Hannah, Sarah, Christopher, Andrea, 10 great-grandchildren, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his wife: Evelyn (Sullivan) Manier, parents: Francis and Rhea (Begin) Manier, brother: Ted Manier.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. today at the Kindred Funeral Home (400 Union Blvd., Englewood) with his son Keith Manier officiating. The family will receive friends today from 10 a.m. until the time of services. A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. today at Greenlawn Cemetery in Versailles.
