Toshiko Tsuji Obituary

Toshiko Tsuji was born on June 23, 1918 in Mt. View, California. Toshiko Morimoto and Koki Tsuji were married on the 10th day of November in 1938 in the city of Winters, CA, Yolo County. In 1942, Toshiko and Koki moved to the Merced Assembly Camp, and soon after to the interment camps in Amache, Colorado. In 1948, Toshiko and Koki moved to Lomita, California, where they settled and raised their four boys, Kaysee, Eugene, Chris and Kenneth. Toshiko was a homemaker and guided the boys through Little League, Boy Scouts and fishing. Mary Jane is survived by her four sons; five grandchildren, Maykay, Alexander, Karolyn, Ken, and Kimberly; and two great-grandchildren, Ryu and Paige. Mom enjoyed growing vegetables in her garden and her flowers; especially the roses. On her daily walks around the block, she could not resist picking a flower or two to bring back to the house. She enjoyed the visits with the grandkids and great-grandkids and always had a smile for them on their visits. Later in life, Mom enjoyed the yearly Morimoto family picnics and her time with the seniors at the South Bay Adult Center in north Redondo Beach. Memorial services for Toshikio Tsuji will be held at 1pm on Saturday, October 30, 2010 at Green Hills Memorial Chapel, 27501 South Western Ave., Rancho Palos Verdes, CA 90275, (310) 831-0311, www.greenhillsmortuary.com
