I love this picture of our Muriel. It captures her. I'm so happy I was able to join family and friends yesterday to celebrate this lovely lady. She was a wonderful friend to me and my family. Two of my grandchildren here in Torrance have fond memories of Muriel. Their favorite was when she would make the sounds of a cat for them. Muriel befriended my mom, inviting her to dinner and taking walks. It was fun including her in some of our family gatherings. We spent lots of time together going to dinner or playing cards. One favorite memory is watching her face light up when she showed me the Christmas presents she bought at a garage sale. I have a keepsake cribbage board that she found for 25 cents. It is a treasure of mine. We also had our Christian faith in common and enjoyed sharing with each other. She is with the Lord now and I thank Him for her life. Nancy Mustard

I knew your mother as MICKEY. I worked under her at the Auto Club down on Adams and Fig. 60 years ago. OMG!!! That was my first and only job out of high school. She was a great boss and taught me alot about work and life. I was there 6 years, then I started my family.
So sorry she is gone and I know she will be missed.

To the family of Muriel Brandt,
I was so sorry to read of the passing of your mother. I worked with Muriel at South Bay Hospital many years ago and remember what a pleasure it was to work with her. She was a compasionate person not only to her fellow nurses but to her patients as well. It was a privilege knowing her.
