George Green Obituary

George Arthur Green, 91, of Boulder, died Thursday, Dec 19, 2013. George was born Nov 17, 1922, in Evanston, Illinois. He grew-up in the North Shore suburbs of Chicago, graduated from Yale University, and served as a US Naval Officer from 1943 to 1946. He married Pearl McCune-Fegan in 1958. Pearl's two young sons, Forrest ("Woody") and Michael (both now deceased), were adopted by George. George and Pearl also have a daughter, Patricia Green-Hursh. The Green family moved to Boulder in 1967. George enjoyed a long, rewarding career at Ball Aerospace. For most of his life he was an avid (and very talented) golfer. Pearl and George Moved to the Balfour Retirement Community in Louisville last year. George left this world a better place. Every day of his life he was a devoted, loving husband; an incredible father; and a caring friend. His integrity, love, humor and courage will be remembered by all who knew him. George is survived by his wife, Pearl, his daughter, Patricia, and four grandchildren: Evan Green; Brandon Green; Keenan Hursh; Cameron ("Cammy") Hursh. A Memorial Service will be held Thursday, Dec 26 at 2:00 PM Balfour Senior Living, The Residences (in the Library) 1336 Hecla Drive, Louisville, CO. 80027, 303-867-6400.

Uncle George was the Best. I have so many fond memories of him my whole entire life. I got to see him in Sept. this year and he still looked wonderful and had his sense of humor. We will all miss him so much. Love you.
