Jared M. Oswald, 37, of Connellsville (Bullskin Township), passed away Tuesday, Sept. 12, 2017, at home.
He was born Aug. 11, 1980, in Greensburg, a son of Gary and Jody (Courtley) Oswald.
Jared was formerly employed by Anchor Hocking Crown Cork and Seal. He enjoyed being in the outdoors, especially when camping and fishing. Jared also enjoyed all styles of music. He was an avid Notre Dame fan.
In addition to his parents, Jared is survived by his wife of 10 years, Sara (Siple) Oswald; his son and love of his life, Anthony Jess Oswald, at home; a sister, Anna Oswald and companion Javon Tyson of Connellsville; four brothers, Justin Oswald of Connellsville, Kristopher Oswald and wife Tara and their children Rylee and Nathan of Connellsville, Kolby Oswald and wife Jessica and their son George of Connellsville and Kaleb Oswald and wife Nicky of Connellsville; maternal grandparents, Mark and Alma Courtley of Connellsville; paternal grandmother, Betty Oswald of Scottdale; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Jared was predeceased by his paternal grandfather, Theodore Oswald.
Friends will be received from 1-8 p.m. Sunday and 10- 11 a.m. Monday, the hour of service, in the Vito C. Martucci Funeral Home, 123 S. First St., West Side, Connellsville, 724-628-9033, with Pastor Joseph Wingrove and Pastor Ralph Miller officiating.
Interment will follow in Green Ridge Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be payable to College America and mailed to Fetsco Financial, 2801 Memorial Blvd., Suite 1B, Connellsville, Pa. 15425, for Jared's son Anthony's college fund.
