Please accept my deepest condolences on the loss of Ray. He trained me as a floor director on "Fox Thing in the Morning", my first television job in Chicago. That was over eight years ago, and I'm still floor directing, using the techniques he taught me every day. He was a very sweet man, and I'll keep him, and you and your family, in my thoughts and prayers. God bless.

What a wonderful guy to work with and share so many memories. When so many of us stated WFLD in 1965. And how much fun we had on Jan 1 1996 when we went on the air. It was early days of TV and how much we learned from each other and a great crew. Ray in 1996 was a leader in training lead he did so well. My prayers and thoughts are with the family. I regret I'm in Rochester NY and will miss my being able to express my personal thoughts on his loss to his family. We are blessed for many years of knowing Ray.

Dear Dorothy,
Please accept my deepest sympathy on the loss of your dear husband. He was a true gentleman and a great musician. I remember him playing that trumpet at all those polka dances. What fun those were. I can still picture you and Ray standing on the steps of St. Stephens Church on your beautiful wedding day. Please know that you and your family are in my thoughts and prayers.

I literally grew up with "Mr. B." He was one of the nicest, most understanding, even tempered guys I've ever known. I really felt like he cared about me. The summers at Pleasant Lake are among my favorite memories. It was a pleasure to know him.

I played with Ray at the Chicago School Of Music in the big dance band. After Ray went in the service I took his place with the Lil Wally Band. He was a fine trumpet player and gentleman. The last time I saw him was at Lil Wallys 75th birthday party. I have many pictures of him. I will miss him. God Bless

Dearest Dottie and family,
I am so sincerely sorry for your loss. I understand Ray was in a lot of pain and he is no longer suffering, however, it is never easy to let someone you love so dearly go. My prayers and thoughts are with you and your family. Please contact me when you are able so we can reminisce together. I do so miss our lunches that you, Suz and I used to have together. To all of you,
As a long time friend of Donna's, I am just so sorry to hear of Mr. Barnas' death. Your family always treats me as one of your own, and I am truly sorry for your loss. I will miss him very much. He was such a kind and fun to be around type of individual, and very talented as well. I will always remember our many visits at your kitchen table.
May God help you all at this difficult time of ups and downs, laughter and tears, good times and bad. We never understand why things like this happen, or why the manner in which they happen, nor do we like to say goodbye. Time will bring God's peace and grace, while the loss is always felt.
May God bless all of you,
With love,
Tracy, Dave, Cory and Jamie
