whenever I think of grandma, i think of how she loved the gardens and the birds. I think of michigan and all of the fun times we had. But, when I start to cry, I remember that we will all see her again someday.

Dear Dick and your entire family,
I was so sad to learn of Marj's death. I first remember her in Wheaton Jr. High when she was a fun-loving, giggling girl. We were together in school through high school and I was also at Wheaton College with both of you.
I am thankful that she belonged to Christ and that she is now in heaven with Him. How wonderful to know that she is totally well and seeing the face of God! May that bring much comfort to you until you meet her there again,
Cling to the happy memories; there are many people praying for your peace.

Dick, you have been a model of love caring to your dear Marj these past years. And we have admired so much how Marj was able to carry on in spite of her cancer. Love to you and prayers for you entire family! Warmly, Karin and Jim Anderson

In behalf of both your and Marj's Wheaton College classmates and friends, and especially, Rich, your '54 Class Reunion Committee colleagues, accept our sympathies at the Homegoing of your dearest whom we remember fondly from when she first appeared so vibrantly on campus in the Fall of 1952. We all have admired your loving care for her these recent difficult years and pray the comfort of Lord for the extended family at this time. As Prexy said us in chapel: "Never doubt in the dark what God taught you in the light."

"The world stands out on either side
No wider than the heart is wide;
Above the world is stretched the sky,— No higher than the soul is high.
The heart can push the sea and land
Farther away on either hand;
The soul can split the sky in two,
And let the face of God shine through."

Marj lived and taught with a wide open heart and a high reaching soul, all of us were better for that.

Julie, Dave, Lura, Andy and the extended family,
Please accept our condolences for your loss. Rejoicing that she is now at rest in heaven. Although having lost several family family members around the Thanksgiving and Christmas seasons, it is still hard. Rejoice in and celebrate her life, her loves and passions, keep your family memories and traditions alive. “And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.
