Robert Sizer Obituary

Robert Dale Sizer, also known as Bob Sizer, of Sun City, Arizona, passed away Sunday, November 8, 2009. He was born on August 31, 1926 and is survived by his loving and beloved wife of 62 years, Veronica Aline Sizer; his adoring children: Dale, Scott and Jan - as well as three grandchildren: Jaclyn and Casey Sizer and Nicholas Lucas. He was the youngest of eight children, born and raised in Tacoma, Washington and is survived by his sisters, Alice Ludes and Betty Bennett. Bob served in the military and is a World War II Navy Veteran. Bob, at 83 years old, was incredibly vibrant, and approached life with a positive, unstoppable flair, giving him a youthful countenance that belied his years and surprised many. He was kind to everyone who happened to be lucky enough to cross his path during his lifetime. His mantra throughout his life was "giving" and he was associated with many Charitable Organizations too long to list. To name a few - he was a member of the Lion's Club, which sponsored the Rainier School in Buckley, Washington for the mentally disabled, and was on the Board of Directors for the Jessie Dyslan Boys Ranch for 30 years and acted as President for 5 of those years. He was a board member of the Union Hills Country Club, and a past President of the Oakbrook Country Club in Tacoma, Washington. A Memorial Celebration will be held to honor this wonderful man at 12:30 P.M. on Sunday, November 15, 2009 at the Union Hills Country Club. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the American Cancer Association in Bobs name. Visit this person's Guest Book at www.yourwestvalley.com
