Sharleen, Amber and Stephen, your family is in my thoughts and prayers. Bunky and your whole family made me feel like I really belonged in Poquoson, not like an outsider. Bunky came to my rescue many times when Jared was deployed. You are family and I feel your loss but know he is pain free and up in heaven enjoying the peace. I hope you too find peace and comfort during this time. With love and friendship

I am very sorry to see that Bunky passed to the Heavenly Fire House...I remember him foundly trying to teach this old dinosaur new rescue tricks in 1999. I remember most about his unique way of explaining diabetes. I use his cartoons to explain to my grandmother about her medicine and food intake.

Sharleen, Amber and Stephen,
May God bless you all during this time. Bunky is a great man who has influenced so many people. I remember the days that he would coach me and guide me as a young EMT and Fireman, I take away a lot of lessons from my days at the Poquoson Fire Department and Bunky was a big part of them. I can recall some very funny times I spent with him and the crew at the Fire Station and some times I was able to visit and get to know you all as well. These will be memories I will hold forever. God Bless you all and know Bunky and all of you are in my thoughts and prayers.

Sharleen, Amber, and Stephen Words can not express my sympathy for you and the pain you must be feeling. Bunky along with all of you have been among the BEST friends a person could have ever asked for. I will sorely miss him as I know you will too. I take solace in the fact that he is in Heaven looking down on us has he has careed for us all for so many years. I will always treasure our visit last summer and the BBQ our families shared together on that trip. Please know you are all in my prayers and thoughts always. I love you all! Sharleen & Family,
I am so sorry for your loss. I haven't seen you or Bunky for so long, but, have never forgotten the memories with you from 4-H and Bunky from the PHS Band. I remember one day Bunky and I were goofing off at band practice and I accidently shattered the lense of his watch with some drum screw that fell in the wrong place. His watch! It was an accident and we were both guilty. He had gotten it for Christmas, and, was most upset. I felt so bad, but, I believe his mother had the cover replaced and the watch ended up being OK. Being a native of Poquoson, I'm sure Bunky has been on the first response to help my family members and I appreciate his career to EMS and the FD. May you and yours find comfort in our Lord in that one day you will all join again, and, that he is shining in Heaven. My sincere sympathy.

Tex and I-along with our children-would like to offer our deepest sympathies to the family. We have known Bunky for most-if not all of our lives-and he has always been a source of joy to be around. My children remember him for his kindness, encouraging words when medals were won and of course his icecream at skirmishes. We love you guys and want you to know that we are here for you wholeheartedly.

Dear Sharleen, Amber and Stephen,
Please accept my prayers, thoughts and tears in the loss of Bunkie. What a special guy! His warm smile will be missed greatly. Please take comfort in knowing that there is no more suffering and that he is waiting to greet each of you home once more. Remember only the good times and try to rid yourselves of the times that were not so good. Comfort comes in waves of memories, so may you have an ocean of memories to flood your lives forever. Please call if I can lend a shoulder to cry on, a hand to lead you thru the difficult days ahead or an ear to listen.
with love to all,
Cheryl
