Eddie MITCHELL Obituary
She was an Avon Representative for 32 years, in Poquoson and York County. She was a Christian and loved the Lord.
Dale was preceded in death by her parents, Verna and Edgar Patterson; daughter, Carole Moore; son, David Davenport; grandson, Lucas Davenport; sister, Helen Sue Cooke; and brother, Bobby Patterson.
She is survived by her husband of 37 years, Jackie Mitchell; son, Gary Davenport of Charlottesville; grandsons, Jake Davenport of Newport News and Garland Moore of Columbia, Md.; granddaughters, Vanessa Nash of Hayes and Sara Davenport of Charlotte, N.C.; great-granddaughter, Morgan of Hayes; eight nieces and nephews; daughter-in-law, Lucy Davenport of Poquoson; and son-in-law, Carroll Moore of Poquoson.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, at Claytor Rollins Funeral Home, Poquoson. A funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, at the funeral home, by the Rev. Milford C. Rollins. Burial will follow at Hampton-Veterans Memorial Gardens, Hampton.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Poquoson Volunteer Rescue Squad, P.O. Box 2099, Poquoson, VA 23662.

Dear Mr.Jackie, Lucy & Family, Knowing Mrs. Dale for many years I can honestly say she was one of the nicest persons I know. She loved her family, and was always there to help a stray kitty or pup. May your hearts be filled with the wonderful memories. Know that you are in my thoughts and prayers.
