Norma BROWN Obituary
She was owner of Type Graphics in Poquoson, and was a member of Messick Baptist Church. She loved gardening, cooking, and especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Brown was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Lee Brown; and parents, Lillian and Norman Rollins.
She is survived by two sons, Raymond Brown Jr. and wife, Nedra, and Mark Brown; two daughters, Melanie Montgomery and Mary Griggs; eight grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; special extended family, Shirley and Larry Martin; and a host of special friends who were like family to her, including Susan Berger and Angel Light.
A memorial service will be held 7 p.m. Monday, at Claytor Rollins Funeral Home, Poquoson, by the Rev. Lonnie M. Correll. Mrs. Brown was cremated in Oak Island, N.C., a place she loved.

I have been friends with one of her granddaughters for years.. Mawmaw was a great woman.. She always treated me as if I was part of the family... She will be missed...

To the family of Norma Brown - I am so sorry for your loss - I knew Norma and we were friends in grade school and high school - in fact we started first grade together. I moved to LA in 2007 and lost touch with lots of people from my childhood. Norma was a true friend in every way. My heart and prayers go out to all of you. God Bless You!
