My sincere condolences to Bill's family. He was so proud of his family and loved you all so much. I worked with him for about 30 yrs and considered him a special friend. He never ceased to amaze with his wit and good cheer! I can't count the hours of good fun & laughter we shared. Bill gave me one of his nicknames which I cherish. I will miss receiving those Fresh Market alerts to new products and the announcements of yet another last Haines Furniture Sale of the century on my answering machine. It was an honor to know and love him.

I had the pleasure and joy of working with Bill from 1975 to 1980, first at Hampton and then Newport News. He was a talented, gifted worker who always made time to lighten everyone's spirits with fun, jokes and his witty point of view. I loved him dearly. During the 30 years I've been in California, Bill and I had a standing date to keep up our "Oscar" night tradition by calling each other to catch up on the year, rate the dresses and argue over best picture. His love for his family was such a rich treasure in his life. Next Sunday, I will miss him terribly and toast him in heaven. I was so lucky to know and love him...I was a fortunate one who had a nickname, "Candy".
My deepest condolences to his family and friends,

Sylvia - so sorry to read about Bill - I did not know he had taken a turn to the worst. I know he talked to Binks a lot and they tried to get thru things - but both have lost the battle. Prayers are with you and your family.

My thoughts and prayers are with each of you at this difficult time. I had the pleasure of working with Mr. Huggett while volunteering with the American Cancer Society Road to Recovery Program. Mr. Huggett was an angel in disguise. He was a blessing and an inspiration to many of us. He touched so many lives with his kindness, big heart, and sense of humor. It was a blessing that he crossed my path. I’ve learned so much from him. He’s an angel that will truly be missed. May he forever rest in eternal peace.

May God bless your family in this time of sorrow. It was so much fun working with Bill at Ft Eustis and if he really liked you he would give you a nickname, mine was Windykins. It was truely a blessing that are paths crossed.

Bill was one of the kindest, sweetest men I have ever known. He was an amazing asset as a Road to Recovery Coordinator for the American Cancer Society. Bill touched so many lives through the hours he spent helping patients get to their treatments. The world seems a little emptier already without him. My condolences to his family and close friends.

Our hearts go out to Bill's family. He was such a pleasure to work with and an awesome American Cancer Society volunteer! He always made me and Melissa smile when he called with Oliver making his presence known in the background. He will be missed and I hope he's making everyone in heaven laugh! - Eva and Melissa (American Cancer Society)

I only knew Bill for a short time through the "Road to recovery program." The first time I met him I felt a spirit of love for people especially those with cancer. I will miss hearing Bill's voice on my answering machine but I know he is now at peace.

Bill was one of the most kind and good-hearted people I was ever privledged to know. He and I called ourselves 'twins' because we 'looked so much alike'! I considered him a friend and when I think of him it will always be fondly and with a smile. That is because that's what he always gave me - laughs and happy times.
I will miss him but my heart goes out to you because I know you will miss him even more. He loved you all so much and always spoke highly of his family - his greatest pride. God bless you all.

To the Huggett Family - my sincere sympathy to all of you for your loss - I went to school with "Billy" from first grade thru 11th when we in the county had to transfer to the new school.
