Dear Mrs. Smith, Pam and family,
Please accept my sincere condolences. From my days at North Riverside I remember "Pug" (Mr. Smith to me) as a wonderful man whom my father admired and respected. They were indeed part of a special generation.

Dear Hazel, Pam and Family,
I am so very sorry for the loss of your husband, father and grandfather. I am unaware of his health and cause of his passing but just the fact of his faith assures us that he is with his Lord & Savior. Perhaps he will be greeted by Al who passed away on Fri., Dec. 18th, 2009. It is hard to adjust to your mate's absence but keep looking up and
take one day at the time. You will be in my thoughts and prayers. Sincerely, June McGlohn

My condolences to the family of "Pug" Smith. He was a true gentleman and liked by everyone that knew him. It was my pleasure to work with him, for many years, in the drawing room at Newport News Shipbuilding. He will surely be missed. May our loving God give you comfort in this time of sadness. Wm. H. Forehand (Clem)

Although Mr. Smith was known as "Pug" I always called him "Mr. Smith". He was a real gentleman and I always enjoyed talking with him and being in his presence. I will always remember him fondly as I keep the family in my thoughts and prayers.
