I love and miss my Grandma so much. She was a great woman and I will never forget all of the wonderful things that she taught me. She would always tell me, "You have to be Grandma's happy girl!" She taught me to never let anything get me down in life, to always be a "happy girl." She taught me to hold on to my hopes and dreams, and to never let anything get in the way of my goals in life, to work hard and stay in school. Grandma taught me how to make mashed potatoes and french toast, among many other yummy foods. She taught me how to apply eye makeup, although she always told me that I didn't need it. Her, Leeann, and I would stay up for long hours of the night playing Rummy 5000, and we didn't give up until someone got that score.
Today, I am 6 months and 2 days pregnant with my first child. I introduced her to my boyfriend about 5 years ago, and she was delighted to meet him. I wanted her to know that I have found the love of my life and I am very happy. Grandma was so excited about her new great-grandbaby. I regret that he(she) will never get to meet Grandma, but I will introduce him(her) to her with all of the wonderful stories about her that I have to share.
I miss Grandma terribly, and I will never forget the impact that she made on my life, but I know that she is in Heaven-safe and happy with Jesus, Pop, and Aggie. And, she is in no more pain. Grandma will forever more be a "happy girl."

I am so sorry to hear of JoAnne's passing. JoAnne was my next door neighbor on Stonewall Terrace for many years and she was a wonderful neighbor and friend. I am just sorry that after I moved away I lost touch. My prayers and thoughts are with all of you.

JoAnn became the very first friend I had when I moved to Virginia in 1983. We've been through happy times and sad times but she has always been there for me. I truly miss her and am so sad that I didn't get to see her again but I will never forget "JoBud". Farewell old friend!

Jo brought so much joy to our lives at Bluefield College as well as in reminiscing all through my life. She was truly a gift from God to many of us. My smypathy and love to her family and close friends. I am so very thankful for the continued support of her close friend, Nancy, through the years. May Jo rest in peace! Keep her bereaved family and friends in His loving care through this sad time.

JoAnn became my friend shortly after I moved to Stonewall Terrace 35 years ago. We shared many conversations over coffee, enjoyed time at the beach in our younger days and many evenings in our lawn chairs in my yard or hers. She was a dear, dear friend and I will miss her, but I know that she is at peace now.
