Helen STRAUB Obituary

HOPEWELL - Helen Blofeld Straub, 85, of Hopewell, passed away Friday, April 30, 2010.
She was the daughter of the late Cecil L. and Elizabeth Ludat Blofeld and was also predeceased by husband, Warren Straub; five brothers and two sisters.
She is survived by daughters, Kathryn "Kaye" Holcomb of Hopewell, Laura Rhodes of Renick, W.Va.; son, Jim. Simms and wife, Kathy of Carrollton, Va.; stepdaughters, Andie Wilson, Amy Straub; grandchildren, Angela Powroznick and husband, Mark, Laura Layman and husband, David, Kenneth McCue, Kathryn Rhodes, Matt Simms; stepgrandchildren, Edwin Creech, Warren Creech and Melissa Wilson; six great-grandchildren; sisters, Edith Holcomb, Frances Smith and Barbara McClung.
Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Monday, May 3, 2010, at the Hopewell chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funereal Home. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Interment will be in Appomattox Cemetery.
