We are very saddened to learn of the passing of my dear Aunt Marie Louis (Starr) Johnson.
Aunt Marie was the younger sister of my own Dad, George Alan Starr. Mine and and Aunt Marie's families grew up in different parts of the Country and we were thus unbable to see each other very often over the years. But, what few times we were able to visit, Aunt Marie was always most interesting and stimulating to visit with, including a couple of years ago when she travelled alone and at her advanced age cross- country to be with our family gathering and funeral for my own dear Dad.
Subsequently and up to her decease, she provided much information regarding her Starr line for incorporation in to our genealogy file.
And, while we greive in our family for Marie's passing, we also extend our most earnest of condolences to her own immediate family.

Marie was such a lovely lady and a good friend. Lou and I have really enjoyed knowing her. We played bridge together, had meals together, and shared many Woman's Club experiences. She taught me to make clay tile pictures and we really got to know each other well then. She gave many bouquets of roses which were as lovely as she was. I played bridge with her Monday, did Woman's Club work with her Tues. and talked to her Wed. and Thurs. I will really miss her.

Marie was such a wonderful woman! Every day when we approach my front porch steps, we think of her because the beautiful welcome plaque that she made for us is the first thing we see :-) We are so sorry that we were out of town when her life was celebrated, but please know that you are in our thoughts, hearts and our prayers.

I was blessed to know Marie for about ten years. We worked together at the Bargain Box on Thursdays as long as I could. We were together in the Woman's Club. We also played bridge together many times. On the 9th of November we played. She knew I read a lot so she asked for book recommendations; she called me later to tell me how much she enjoyed it. I'm glad I made her last week enjoyable. I'll miss her.
May God bless you and bring you his peace.
