Alvin "Hugh" C. Key

Alvin "Hugh" C. Key, 79, of Charlottesville, Virginia, entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, October 20, 2010, at a local health care center.

He was the son of the late John and Virginia Monroe Key. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Susie Barbour; and two sisters, Rosebud Golden and Robbie Williams.

He leaves to cherish his memory a loving and devoted family, one daughter, Laverne Callaway of Charlottesville, Virginia; one sister, JoAnna Jones of White Hall, Virginia; four grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren; and a host of other beloved relatives and friends..

Funeral services will be conducted 12 p.m. Wednesday, October 27, 2010, at Piedmont Baptist Church with the Reverend Mary Carey officiating. Interment will follow at the family cemetery.

In addition to viewing at the funeral home, Mr. Key will be viewed one hour prior to service at the church.

Services of comfort are entrusted to the staff of McClenny Funeral Service Inc.

Mr. Key will be missed by Charlottesville Rehab. Center. He was such a humble man. I'm glad I had the opportunity to care for him.
