Bobby Washington Obituary
Bobby Washington Sr., 66, of Louisa, formally of Orange County, departed this life on Wednesday, November 25, 2009, at the Louisa Health Care Center.
He was born April 17, 1943, to the late Booker T. and Lois Henderson Washington.
Mr. Washington was employed by the public school system of Philadelphia until his health began to change, he than took an early retirement and returned back to his hometown.
He is survived by two sons, Bobby Washington of Philadelphia and Buck Washington of Charlottesville; five daughters, Sharon Banks of Culpeper, Lisa Washington of Madison, Angela Washington of Charlottesville, and Martha Washington and Julia Washington, both of Philadelphia; two brothers, Raymond Washington of Rhoadesville and Clarence Washington of Locust Grove, Virginia; two sisters, Clara Jackson and her husband, Thomas, of Barboursville and Lois M. Ragland and her husband, Wesley, of Palmyra; 15 grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, November 28, 2009, at Satchell Funeral Home Chapel with the Reverend Frank D. Lewis Sr. officiating. Interment to follow in the Washington Cemetery on Black Walnut Run Road.
Viewing will be held from 1 until 8 p.m. Friday, November 27, 2009, and from 10 a.m. until time of service Saturday, November 28, 2009.
Satchell's Funeral Service Inc. is in charge of arrangements.
