Clara B. Guadagno

Clara Bianca D'Angelo Guadagno, 87, of Crozet, died Monday, January 26, 2009, in the Mountainside Senior Living.

Born April 29, 1921, in Brooklyn, New York, she was the daughter of the late Frank D'Angelo and Maria Rungi D'Angelo. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Dominick Guadagno; a granddaughter, Jennifer Scopelliti; and a sister, Madeline Mazzarese.

Clara was formerly an active member of the Senior Center and a member of Church of the Incarnation.

Surviving her are two daughters, Connie Scopelliti and her husband, Frank, of Charlottesville and Maria Board and her husband, Jim, of Charlottesville; six grand-children, Clara Scopelliti, Frank Scopelliti, Ray Scopelliti, Lisa Board, James Board, and Sara Board; 10 great-grand-children; and a friend, Margie Rogan.

A funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Thursday, January 29, 2009, at Hill and Wood Funeral Home with Father Greg Maturi officiating. Interment will follow at Holly Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the funeral service.

The family expresses special thanks to the staffs of both Mountainside Assisted Living and Hospice of the Piedmont for their loving and compassionate care.

The family suggests that any desired memorial contributions be made to Mountainside Assisted Living, 1220 Crozet Avenue, Crozet, VA 22932 or Hospice of the Piedmont, 675 Peter Jefferson Parkway, Suite 300, Charlottesville, VA 22911

MY DEEPEST AND HEARTFELT SYMPATHY TO YOU. I WORKED WITH DOC AT MURRAY ELEC. AND HE ALWAYS TALKED ABOUT HIS WIFE. I MET HER ON A SAD OCASSION BUT I STILL REMEMBER HER HAPPY ATTITUDE. GOOD BLESS YOU ALL
