Clarence S. McClure Jr.

Clarence S. McClure Jr. was born in Germany on March 12, 1959, and went to Heaven on Friday, December 24, 2010.

He was a loving husband, wonderful father and loving grandfather.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Traute H. McClure and father, Clarence S. McClure Sr.

He is survived by his loving wife of 27 years, Linda McClure; daughter, Jennifer Oneida and her husband, Jonathan; sister, Karen Crush; brother, Stephen McClure and his wife, Sarah; brothers-in-law, Roger Hunt and his wife, Karen, Frankie Hunt and Ruth, and Edward "Punkin" Lilly; sister-in-law, Judy Thacker and Gary Morris; grandchildren, Alexxus, Shaun and Kaylee Barbour, Jonathan Jr., Nathan and Austin Oneida; three nephews, four nieces, three grandnephews and two grandnieces.

Special love to Ronna, Kara, Kevin, Marsha and Bug; and special thanks to the nurses and doctors on the sixth floor and ICU unit at Martha Jefferson Hospital.

A funeral service will be conducted 1 p.m. Wednesday, December 29, 2010, at the Teague Chapel with Reverend Edwin Leake officiating. Interment will follow in Monticello Memory Gardens.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Heart Association, P.O. Box 5216, Glen Allen, VA 23058.

Linda, I am so sorry to hear of your loss. Many, Many moons ago we worked together at the Daily Progress. Clarence was a dear friend. I know he is deeply missed.
