Dear Joy, Julie, Joe and John,
I am so sorry about the loss of your Mom. I haven't seen you guys in years, but my thoughts and prayers go out to you all. I would like to share these words with you - words that your Mom expressed to me when my father died. She said that "time is a healer, even though now you must feel you will never stop grieving. It would be foolish to think we would not grieve; but our grief is comforted by trust and memories and the knowledge our loved one is at home with God." May God bless you and your families.
With love and sympathy,
Sherwood (Woody) Exum

Dot was a wonderful woman with a kind word and a smile for everyone she met. I never heard her say a negative word in the fifteen plus years I've known her. She will be greatly missed by her Hinton Avenue family and all who loved her.

Dear Haggerty Family:

Words are wholly inadequate to comfort when you lose your mom. I hope that the universally kind rememberances of Dot by people who knew her provide some solace for you. She was a beautiful lady, a faithful Christian, and a caring individual. I was touched by her kindness many times. I am very grateful her life was shared with mine. She rests in the arms of Jesus, her savior.
