Dorothy Reynolds Twyman

Dorothy Reynolds Twyman, 84, of Gordonsville, died on Wednesday, October 20, 2010, at her residence.

She was born May 27, 1926, in Gordonsville, the daughter of the late John Morton Reynolds and Mary Esteppe Reynolds. She was married to the late William Horace Twyman and was a member of the Gordonsville Christian Church.

Mrs. Twyman is survived by one daughter, Susan Twyman Robertson of Charlottesville; one sister, Ellenor Ruth Ogg of Radford; two grandchildren, Michelle Robertson of Louisa and Shawn Robertson of Gordonsville; three great-grandchildren, Jalashia Quarles, Kirsten Wells and Roger Wells Jr.; one niece, Mary Ann Simpkins; and three nephews, David Garnett, Tony Garnett and Michie Garnett.

She was also preceded in death by a sister, Katherine Reynolds Garnett.

A graveside funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Monday, October 25, 2010, in Walkers United Methodist Church Cemetery, Madison County, officiated by the Reverend Norma Deane and the Reverend Randy Allensworth.

The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. Sunday, October 24, 2010, at the Preddy Funeral Home Chapel in Gordonsville.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Med Home Health and Hospice, 3302 Bourbon Street, Fredericksburg, VA 22408.
