Edith Bird

Edith Bird, 89, of Churchville, died on Wednesday, September 29, 2010.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Quilling Bird Sr.

Surviving are four children, including Ellen B. Roberts and her husband, Kermit, of Churchville; three siblings, including Sylvia Lynn and her husband, William, of Waynesboro.

A funeral service will be conducted 11 a.m. Tuesday, October 5, 2010, at Elk Run Church of the Brethren in Churchville with burial in Oak Lawn Memory Gardens in Staunton.

The family will receive friends from 6:30 until 8:30 p.m. Monday, October 4, 2010, at Bear Funeral Home in Churchville.

Memorials may be made to Elk Run Church of the Brethren, 1599 Scenic Highway, Churchville, VA 24421.
