May Ann Bird died on December 7, 2025. She was 87 years old. Her husband Joseph Edwin Bird and Charles Raymond Bird preceded her in death.
Her parents Alma and Bill Harrision (both deceased) brought home a baby girl. Her name was May Ann Harrison. She had two sisters, Erline and Martha and two brothers Hank and Billy. All her siblings are deceased. May was born January 10, 1938 in Tucson Arizona. She graduated from Tucson High School. She then joined The Women's Army Corps for two year. She had a rank of SP4.
She met Joe Bird in February 1959 and was married to him on July 31, 1959 in San Antonio Texas. They moved to Albuquerque, New Mexico to have two babies.

Family then went to Germany two times. The kids were older during the 2nd tour, so they bought a tent and camped in various countries in Europe. Camping in Europe was a lot of fun and a lot nicer than in North America. This happened in late 1967.
In 1972 our family came to Killeen, Texas. May went to college and became a teacher. She received her degree and taught two years in Coppers Cove and 18 years in Killeen, Texas. She retired from teaching. May was a member of the American Legion and 40/8.
Her daughter Robin Hamm is still living. May has two grandsons, Joshua Hamm and Jonathan Hamm. The children of Joshua Hamm are Katah, Kaden, and Calum. The children of Jonathan Hamm are Arabella, Aalayeh, Billy, Joanna, Hallel and one on the way.
