Ellen Celia (White) Moyers, 80, wife of Homer Richard Moyers Sr. of Frontier Ridge Court, Staunton, passed away on Saturday morning, October 2, 2010, to be with our Lord and Savior.

She was born on March 14, 1930, in Akron, Ohio, a daughter of the late Cecil and Mary Elizabeth (Fauber) White.

In addition to her husband, family includes five sons and four daughters-in-law, Homer R. Moyers Jr., and Penney Dyer of Madison County, Andrew J. Moyers of Clover Hill, Leslie C. and Toby Moyers of Ashland, Anthony T. and Kim Moyers of Ruckersville, and Dale S. and Amy Moyers of Waynesboro; a daughter and son-in-law, Ruth E. and Ronald Ryman of Staunton; two brothers, Royce and Robert White, both of Wyoming; a sister, Shirley Didawick of Harrisonburg; a daughter-in-law, Mary Moyers of Dayton; 11 grandchildren; five great- grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by two sons and a daughter-in-law, Calvin F. Moyers, Rodney L. Moyers, and Jean Collins; and three brothers, Jim, Ed, and Tom White.

A funeral service will be conducted 2 p.m. Tuesday, October 5, 2010, at the Otterbein United Methodist Church in Harrisonburg by Pastor Jim Grogan.

A separate burial service will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, October 6, 2010, at the Aurora Community Cemetery in Aurora, West Virginia with the Reverend Kenneth A. Price officiating.

Active pallbearers will be her sons and grandsons.

The family will receive friends one and one-half hours prior to the service in the church.

Memorials may be made to the Otterbein United Methodist Church, 176 West Market Street, Harrisonburg, VA 22801.

Henry Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
