Ellen Neff was surely a force to be recokened with and her integrity (and that of her father) were things of beauty and power.
I offer condolence on behalf of the Descendants of James & Rachel Scott. We meet every other year in the dining room dedicated to William Neff our cousin at Emory & Henry, this year on August 2nd after a 10am Memorial Service at the E&H Chapel at which your mother will be remembered. She (and he) were indeed "Great Scotts."
It would be an honor to have you with us. Rev Mark Scott of Newberry College is this year's chair.
May God's peace sustain you ...

My mother, Evie Fray Watts, and Hull were great friends at Hollins. Mother will be so saddened to learn of Hull's death. With sympathy to the family of a classy lady -

I guess Hull and Sissie are together again after all these years! She encouraged me to go to Hollins, which I loved, and was always so much fun to visit and talk to. I'll send you copies of some letters Mother sent her at Hollins. They were definitely Best Friends Forever. Two great ladies!

I was very sad to hear of the passing of Ellen Hull. As another "Ellen Neff" I always admired Hull. She was a wonderful lady. I especially remember the good time we (Jimmie, Orie, Larry and I) had at her home in Princeton. I am sorry I will not be able to get to Abingdon to the service, but please do know that I am thinking of all of you.
With love and sympathy,
Ellen (Ellen Neff Bonham Goode)
