Emma Sheads Humphreys
Emma Sheads Humphreys, 90, of Crozet, died Wednesday, January 5, 2011.
She was born in Rixeyville, Virginia, November 11, 1921, the daughter of the late Woodie W. Sheads and Bula Kines Sheads.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John Randolph Humphreys; a sister, Mary K Sheads; and a brother, George W. Sheads.
She is survived by one brother, Woodie W. Sheads and Mrytle; of Rixeyville.
She retired from Con Agra in February 1982.
Family will receive friends from 4 until 6 p.m. Saturday, January 8, 2011, at the Anderson Funeral Home Chapel.
A funeral service will be held 2:30 p.m. Sunday, January 9, 2011, at Crozet United Methodist Church.
Interment will follow at Rockgate Cemetery, with the Reverend Doug Forrester officiating.
Family suggest that memorial contributions be made to Hospice of Piedmont, 675 Peter Jefferson Parkway, Suite 300, Charlottesville, VA 22911.
Anderson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Although my visits were not as many as they should I been, I still have the fond memories of picking apples from the trees from your back yard. I also remember Uncle Randy's shop in the back yard. I always enjoyed my visits with Mama and Daddy (Bubba as you called him) to your house. And you had that unique voice I'll always remember. Love You Kathy Sheads Crews
