George Knizewski Obituary
George Paul Knizewski Sr., 72, of Crozet, died on Saturday, October 30, 2010, at the University of Virginia Medical Center.
He was born on August 9, 1938, in the Bronx, New York, a son of the late Theodore and Julia Zralka Knizewski. In addition, he was preceded in death by a sister, Margaret Garcia.
Mr. Knizewski retired as a telecommunications manager with the New York Telephone Company.
He is survived by his devoted wife of fifty years, Ann McGuinn Knizewski; four sons, George Paul Knizewski and his wife, Linda, Patrick Kingsley and his wife, Lana, Michael Knizewski and his wife, Michelle, and John Kingsley and his wife, Jessica; one sister, Adele Murison; two brothers, Edward Knizewski and Teddy Kingsley; eight grandchildren, Katrina, Victoria, Emily, Alex, Juliet, Christopher, Brendan and Moira; and twenty-one nieces and nephews.
He enjoyed golfing and bowling in his younger days.
A mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 2 p.m. Wednesday, November 3, 2010, at St. Thomas Aquinas Church.
The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. Tuesday, November 2, 2010, at the Teague Funeral Home.
