James E. Dixon

James E. Dixon, 78, of Charlottesville, has gone fishin'.

He was born in Greenville, North Carolina, on July 14, 1932, the son of the late Otis and Helen Dixon. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Adrienne White Dixon.

Jimmy was a retired electrician and passed away at his home on Thursday October 7, 2010.

He is survived by his two sons, Randall E. Dixon of Charlottesville and Jesse M. Dixon and his wife, Rebecca, of New Gloucester, Maine; five grandchildren, Paul, Holly, Lauran, Hannah and Luke.

A funeral service will be conducted 3 p.m. Sunday, October 10, 2010, at the Teague Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Holly Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends from 7 until 8 p.m. Saturday, October 9, 2010, at the funeral home.

The family would like to thank special friends, Ron, Christie, Kim, Lynne and Dr. Bruce Clemons and staff for their care and attention to Jimmy.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Charlottesville Albemarle SPCA, P.O. Box 7047, Charlottesville, VA 22906.
