Thinking of you during the time of going into a new year. Will always remember you, Cousin James. Remembering you and the strength you always showed going to dialysis and handling your disabilities. Love, Cousin Shirley

James, who was on dialysis for several years, ended up having both legs and both are removed. Visiting him in the nursing home, I never once heard any complaints. For him, life was going to dialysis three times a week, riding around the nursing home in his motorized wheel chair and watching the cowboy shows on Saturday. I hope my visits helped in some way. Sleep on, my dear cousin. See you in the morning.

Dear Family and others,
Since James passed, I have been reflecting on our years growing up out in Stony Point. I've been thinking about Sunday School at Free Union with our teacher, Mrs. Arlene Tyree, the preacher and old deacons there who prayed some long and strong prayers, being baptized in the river going to Proffit, playing cowboy, chasing june bugs and lightning bugs, picking dandelions for wine for Grandma Bug (shhhhh), going to the airport as a fun family outing, our grandmas and grandpas. I have so many fond memories of our little village up in the mountains and I hold those memories dear to my heart. Goodbye my dear cousin, sleep on. May God bless your soul. Peace!!! Cousin Shirley
