Julia Burdette Obituary
Julia Burdette, 72, died at Mountainside Senior Living in Crozet, on Wednesday, June 16, 2010.
She was born on March 10, 1938, in Charlottesville, the daughter of the late Marion Martin and Elsie Turner Martin. She was preceded in death by a son, Dennis Melton.
She is survived by two daughters, Michelle Burdette Trainum of Waynesboro, Virginia, and Lisa Shifflett and her husband, Gordon, of Jacksonville, Florida; one sister, Barbara Bailey and her husband, Charlie, of Gordonsville; one grandson, David Benson, that she raised, and seven other grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; three nephews; one niece; and one great-niece.
The family will receive friends at the Anderson Funeral Home Chapel from 6 until 7 p.m. Friday, June 18, 2010.
The family suggest that memorial gifts be given to your favorite charity.
A private family service will be held at a later date.
Anderson Funeral Home of Crozet is in charge of arrangements.
