Karen was the first friend I made at William & Mary. Our friendship is one of my fondest memories of my college years. I am saddened that we had been out of touch for so many years. Tom Jenkins (Richmond)

Karen was loved by all who knew her. I was only one of many. I met her while volunteering at the YMCA in the late 80's. She was one of my wifes closest friends. Words cannot express my feelings for your loss, our loss.

My sincere condolences to Greg and Karen's family. I am shocked and sadden by the terrible news of Karen's passing. I worked with Karen back at Heilig-Meyers Company in the 80's and managed to stay in touch through the years. After she moved to Charlottesville, I enjoyed her visits to my UVA Football tailgates, always with food and drinks in hand. Please accept my deepest sympathy. She will be greatly missed by all that knew and enjoyed her big beautiful smile.

I worked with Karen. Whenever a job required intelligence and tenacity, Karen got the call. We could have used five Karen’s. We will miss Karen immensely, not only for her work ethic, but for her charm, humor, and grace.
