Leon E. Brown III, 33, of Durrette Town Road, Avon, Virginia, departed this life on Sunday, October 3, 2010, as a result of an auto accident in Waynesboro, Virginia.
Friends will be received at the residence.
Services are entrusted to the Lewis Funeral Home in Waynesboro, Virginia.

As I sit here all these years later, the hurt of you being gone is still just as bad but I now think of all the good times. All the times I saw that smile on your face and still see it in my dreams. I look forward to the day I see it in heaven and when I get to hug you again I will never let you go. You will always be the love of my life. I may only have a picture of you but you are in my heart so you still live here on earth. I smile when I tell people about you and they always stay I wish I could of met him, but in a lot of ways they do through me and the story's I tell about us. My greatest memory is still the first day I meet you when I saw you through your mother's window I said I'm going to love that man he is my forever, well that day I fell in love with you before I knew you and fell in love with you every day after that. You may of had to leave this earth so the forever I got was your memory but for now that's ok because those memories are great. You are truly the love of my life in this life and everyone after so until next time I'll keep loving you.

LB, there are so many times that I often think about you and can't believe you are really gone however I know that you are in a far better place than we could ever imagine. A year ago today, I received the phone call of your accident from one of our dearest friends, a friend that I have because of you! I'm so thankful to have shared some of my life with you and your family! Things may not have been perfect with us, nothing ever is, but it was worth it! Leon changed my life in so many ways, It would take a life time to tell anyone how he touched my life, not only him but his family took me in as if I was there family.
