Margaret Walker Obituary

Margaret Dell (Kirkley) Walker WEST LAFAYETTE, OHIO

Margaret Dell (Kirkley) Walker, 82, of West Lafayette and formerly of Waynesboro, passed away Wednesday, November 18, 2009, at Lafayette Pointe Nursing Home.

She was born June 26, 1927, in Charlottesville, a daughter of the late James and Mary Dudley Kirkley. On July 5, 1946, she married Frederick Walker.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Frederick, who passed away on May 2, 1992; four sisters, three brothers, and son-in-law, Sam Miller.

Margaret enjoyed sewing, making crafts, reading, and spending time with her family especially her great-grandchildren, who called her Ya-Ya.

She is survived by her daughter, Patti Miller; two grandchildren, Jimmy Miller and his wife, Carla, and April Scott and her husband David; four great-grandchildren, Cohen Miller, Slade Miller, Daniel Scott and Katelyn Scott; and several nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be conducted 10 a.m. Monday, November 23, 2009, at Holy Cross Episcopal Church Cemetery in Batesville, Virginia, with Pastor Matt Coiner officiating.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, P. O. Box 33718, Okahoma City, OK 73123 or to the Coshocton Foundation-EMS Fund, P. O. Box 55, Coshocton, Ohio 43512.
