Leona E. Walker

Leona Elizabeth Walker of Rockford departed this earthly life November 14, 2025. She was born October 22, 1958 in Rockford, IL the daughter of Arthur and Eva Ford later to be adopted by Ivory and Lucille Porter. Leona lived most of her life in Rockford living sometime in St. Louis, MO; and South Bend, Indiana before returning back to Rockford the past 13 years. She was employed as a Certified Nurses Assistant by DRS providing home health care. Leona was a Veteran of the U.S. Army. She was a member of Banner of Truth Family Church. Leona graduated from East High School.

Leona leaves to cherish many loving memories, her daughter, Lakisha Clark; grandson, Terrence Clark Jr.; two great grandchildren, Tenaliyah and Tayomi Clark; sister Jeanette Walker; and sister in law Laura Ford; a host of nieces, nephews cousins other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her parents; five sisters, six brothers.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
