Margaret Bousman Obituary
Gertrude Bousman "Granny B.", 83, of Danville, Virginia, died Saturday, November 14, 2009, in Charlottesville, Virginia.
She was born November 30, 1925, in Portsmouth, Virginia, the daughter of Nebbie Herbert Blow and Vera Olivia Blow.
She was a member of Third Avenue Congregational Christian Church, where she had been a member of the choir, a Sunday school teacher, a member of the Mission Crusader Board, and a member of circle #4, among other activities. She had been attending Fork Union Baptist Church while living with her daughter and son-in-law in Fluvanna County.
She was married on June 30, 1944, to Bernard Thomas Bousman, who predeceased her. In addition to her husband and parents, she was predeceased by her infant brother, Charles Blow; and by her brother, Nebbie Herbert Blow Jr.
Gertrude is survived by her daughter, Brenda Bousman King, and her husband, Kirwan M. King of Palmyra, Virginia; three grandchildren, Bradley C. King, and Korey M. King of Fork Union, Virginia, and Kari King Clemans and her husband, Christopher R. Clemans, of Louisville, Kentucky.
Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Tuesday, November 17, 2009, at Wrenn-Yeatts North Main Chapel with the Reverend Frederick J. Vicks and the Reverend Ron Johnson officiating. Interment will follow at Highland Burial Park.
The family will receive friends from 7 until 8:30 p.m. Monday, November 16, 2009, at Wrenn-Yeatts North Main Chapel and other times at 432 Northmont Boulevard, Danville VA 24540.
The family suggests that in lieu of flowers, memorial donations be made to Hospice of the Piedmont 2200 Old Ivy Road, Charlottesville, VA 22903 or Lake Monticello Volunteer Fire Department and Rescue Squad Inc., 10 Slice Road, Palmyra, VA 22963.

I was so sorry to hear about Mrs. Bousman's death. She was such a sweet lady and I will always have fond memories of her when I was a student at Stonewall Jackson Elementary School and she was the secretary there. Thoughts and prayers to Brenda and her family--Linda Jones Frazier
