Patricia "Tess" Marthaler

Patricia "Tess" Marthaler,71, of Goodyear, Arizona, passed away Thursday, October 22, 2009, in Phoenix, Arizona.

She was born April 2, 1938, in Des Moines, Iowa.

Tess grew up in Delaware, Ohio, Park Ridge, Mount Prospect and Arlington Heights, Illinois. She met her husband, Marth, at the University of Illinois and they were married in 1961. They lived in Chicago, San Francisco, Edina, Minnesota, Ridgefield, Connecticut and Charlottesville, before settling in Goodyear, Arizona five years ago. They were members of The Church at Litchfield Park. She was member of P.E.O., a Philanthropic Educational Organization for over 30 years and currently active at the chapter in Litchfield Park, Arizona. She was very active in the PebbleCreek Lady Niners.

She is survived by her husband and their sons, Todd and Tyler; and four grandchildren.

A "celebration of life" memorial service will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, October 31, 2009, at The Church at Litchfield Park, 300 North Old Litchfield Road.

Following the service, the family would like to invite all to come to a luncheon reception, at the Marthaler's home, hosted by the PebbleCreek Lady Niners.
