Jeffrey Charles Danek, age 82, of Lexington, passed away Friday, September 19, 2025 in Ohio Health Mansfield. Jeff was born on December 15, 1942 in Chicago to the late Charles & Blanche Fanta Danek.

Jeff attended the University of Illinois, graduating in 1964. He furthered his education at Chicago-Kent College of Law, graduating with a J.D. in 1967. While in law school, he was the editor and chief of the student-run Law Review. Jeff had a long, distinguished career in law. He was a corporate attorney for Sears & Roebuck and Mobil Oil. Jeff finished his career as a corporate attorney with the Krueger and Ringier Group. His law career was very important to him but Jeff always put family first. Jeff was born in Chicago and raised in Westchester Illinois. He and Rosie moved from Texas to Lexington in May of this year. Jeff and his wife, Rosie loved going to musicals, plays and trying various restaurants with friends. In his younger years he enjoyed trips to Fox Lake with his family. More recently, Jeff and Rosie took a trip to Hawaii making wonderful memories together. An avid boat collector and enthusiast, he cherished his Chris Craft Barrel Back. He also loved all types of music but one of his favorites was semi classical. At home he could more times than not be found with a book in his hands. Cars were another passion of his; one of his favorite cars was his 1988 BMW 318 Ci. Family and friends would say he was generous and had a great sense of humor.

Jeff's legacy will be remembered by his loving wife of 13 years, Rosemary (Kieras) Danek. Rosie and Jeff shared over a 40 year friendship which blossomed into a story book love story.

In addition to his loving wife, Rosie, Jeff will be fondly remembered by his two sons, Jonathon (Veronica) Danek and Gregory (Parul) Danek; He was a loving grandfather to Christian, Grace, Riley, Rohan and Talin. Jeff also leaves behind two sisters-in-law, Dorothy Janosko and Shirley (Don) Loos; one brother-in-law, Rick (Phyllis) Kieras.

A memorial service honoring Jeff will be held at 11:30 am, Saturday, October 4, 2025 in the Lexington Avenue Snyder Funeral Home. Father Eric Kaufman will be the Celebrant. A time for family and friends to gather will be held from 10:30 am until the time of service. Entombment will immediately follow in the Lexington Cemetery.
