May God bless you and your family in this time of sorrow. Phyllis was a very special person who was well liked and respected by those she with whom she worked. It is hard to believe she has left us so soon and she will be missed, but I can picture her taking inventory and trying to reorganize heaven aleady....

Doug and family,
I was deeply saddened to learn of Phyllis' death. She was a wonderful friend and neighbor to my mother. Each time that I talked to Mom on the phone
she had news of something special that you and Phyllis had done for her. When I visited, I enjoyed seeing that big smile and having a friendly conversation. I never worried about Mom, knowing that the two of you were next door. Please know that I share your sorrow . . .

I attended the Auto Mechanics program at CATEC with Phyllis, she Larry Humphries and I were paired to work together. In all of my life, I've only met a couple of people as warm and wonderful as Phyllis. It saddens me greatly to hear that she is no longer with us. My condolences to all of her loved ones, as I am sure she will be missed greatly. I will always carry the fondest of memories of our time together at CATEC. ~ Gregory Lohr

Phyllis was a true friend and would go out of her way to assist you any way she could. She was dedicated to her family and a hard worker. Phyllis was very talented and one of the smartest women I have ever known. I am thankful and blessed to have had her as a friend, though it was not long enough. I pray for Doug and the rest of her family, that God will comfort them in this sad time. Rest in Peace my friend, you will surely be missed.

I extend my deepest sympathy to Phyllis' family during this time. For those of you who know me, I shared many, many years of good times playing softball with Phyllis. It was a time of laughter and fun that I always looked forward to. When asked to play in a tournament, I would always ask "is Phyllis coming to Pitch?" because I never wanted to play unless she was the pitcher. She was the best. As a mechanic, there wasn't anything that Phyllis couldn't fix. If she could help you, she would do it from the bottom of her heart. She kept my old 1989 Dodge Dynasty running way beyond it's years, and when I would call her and say "the car's making noises", she would just laugh and say I'll take a look. We often laughed at how much longer that ole car would run, but Phyllis kept it going for me. We still kept in touch after our softball years, and I will miss her so much. I am honored to have had Phyllis as a part of my life, and I will cherish the memories of our friendship forever.

I pray that God be with each and everyone during this difficult time, as Phyllis touched so many hearts with her gentle smile and humorous personality. She was such a joy to be around. We often reminisced of our good times playing softball back years ago and I will cherish those moments forever.
