Remona A. Hughes Remona A. Hughes of Gordonsville, Virginia, departed this life on Saturday, April 12, 2008, at the University of Virginia Medical Center. Remona was born August 22, 1964, the daughter of the late Francis and Thomas Anderson was devoted to her family and was a friend to all she met. Remona was always doing for others, especially her family. She will be missed by all who knew her. She leaves to cherish her memories, her husband, Lenny Hughes of Louisa, Virginia; a son, Bryan Anderson; two daughters, Amanda and April Turner; two step children, Justin and Kelly Hughes; one grandchild, Sanaia Quarles; six sisters, Ruby Thomas, Ruth Washington, Rosa Anderson (Oneil), Gloria "Becky" Allen (Mo), Regina Cabell and Robin Rankins and her husband, Pete; brothers, Linwood "Lee" Davis and Betty of Richmond, Virginia, Charles "Chuckie" Anderson of Charlottesville, Virginia, Wayne Anderson and Peggy of Hagerstown, Maryland, James "Bird" Anderson and John "Ringo" Anderson and Tiana, both of Charlottesville, Virginia; her mother-in-law, Mary Hughes of Maryland; two brothers-in-law, Mark Hughes of Maryland and Johnny Hughes of Goochland, Virginia; three sisters-in-law, Kim Brown of Manassas, Virginia and Sheila Brown of Alexandria, Virginia, Denise Anderson; one aunt, Alice Robinson of Louisa, Virginia; two uncles, James Davis of Washington, D.C. and Henry Jackson of Louisa, Virginia. Remona had a host of nieces, nephews, a devoted nephew, Lester "Boonie" Washington, cousins, friends and devoted friends, Joculyn Napper of Palmyra, Virginia, Joann, and Dice Hammer of Crozet, Virginia, and Lisa Kirkley of High Point, North Carolina. The family will receive friends from 7 until 8 p.m. Tuesday, April 15, 2008, at Thomasson Watson Funeral Services, Inc., 117 West Street, Louisa, Virginia. A funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Wednesday, April 16, 2008, at the Temple of Deliverance, HCG Inc., 5756 Zachary Taylor Hwy. (Rt. 522), Mineral, Virginia, with Elder Lynn Beanum officiating. Burial will follow at the family cemetery. Thomasson Watson Funeral Service Inc. is in charge of arrangements. Condolences may be offered to the family at ddwatsonmortician.com.
