Robert Munson Obituary
Munson Sr.
Robert A. Munson Sr., 84, died Friday, November 27, 2009, at home with his family in attendance and with the support of Hospice of the Piedmont.
He was born in 1925 in St. Paul, Minnesota, and a longtime resident of Albemarle County. He worked for the Defense Investigative Service and was active in the Naval Reserves until retiring with the rank of Commander.
He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Loree; daughters, Janice and Susan; son and daughter-in-law, Robert Jr. and Jeong-Mi; grandchildren, Olan and Jed; and sister and brother-in-law, Joanne and Richard Nelson.
Burial will take place Thursday, December 3, 2009, at Forest lawn Cemetery in St. Paul, Minnesota. There will be a memorial service at Wulff Services on White Bear Avenue, St. Paul, Minnesota, preceding the interment.
Donations can be made to the Hospice of the Piedmont in lieu of flowers.

Such a profound loss....Uncle Bob was my childhood hero.....both of you were the most wonderful godparents to me.....and the lifelong friendships with both of my parents was a thing of beauty that we usually only read about in books.....how can i thank you and Uncle Bob for the treasure chest of memories you have left for me and all that you did for my folks......he will always be in my heart and you and your family will forever be in my prayers!!!
