Sheena Marrs Obituary
Sheena Marrs, 64, of Afton, died at her residence, Friday, November 19, 2010.
She was born in Albemarle County to Nay Fisher and the late Cora Gibson Fisher.
She was preceded in death by one brother, Mitchell Fisher; and one sister, Ivy Layne.
She is survived by her husband, David R. Marrs; one daughter, Amy Shifflett and her husband, Lee, of Batesville; one son, David D. Marrs and his wife, Annie, of Louisa; four grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.
Also, surviving are four brothers, James Fisher and his wife, Susan, of Batesville, Anthony Fisher of Batesville, Jerry Fisher and Donna Braun of Danville, and Trenton Fisher of Batesville; three sisters, Alice Shifflett of Crozet, Vanessa Keiser of Greene County, and Kendall Toribio of Florida.
Family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. Tuesday, November 23, 2010, at the Anderson Funeral Home Chapel, Crozet.
A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, November 24, 2010, at Rockgate Cemetery, Crozet.
The family suggest, instead of flowers, that memorial contributions be made to David Marrs, 6921 Burnt Mt. Rd., Afton, VA 22920.
Anderson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Sheena has always been so dear to me, even from a very young age. I remember her reading Grimm's Fairy Tales to me as we laid on the sofa in the big Carpenter farm house. She brought the stories to life with her vibrant imagination, and passion for story telling. Whenever she read the fairy tales to me; it was as if I had been transported back into another place and time. I recently used one of her stories for an essay that I submitted in English 102. Sheena was a wonderful woman who loved her children and her husband more than anything in this world. We will truely miss her, and our sympathies are with her family and friends. Those of us who are left behind must find strength and comfort in each other, and God, so we can continue on until we meet her in heaven.

Sheena, I always looked forward to coming to aunt Cora's just to see you and the rest of the girls., you were always so kind and fun to be around. David and children I know this time is hard but you have to believe Sheena is in a better place, she is now at home with God and the rest of her family free from pain..She will always be watching you and loving you..
