Steven Allen Obituary
Steven Wayne Allen, 45, of Beech Grove, died on Monday, May 24, 2010, at the University of Virginia Medical Center, surrounded by his family and friends.
He was born on July 11, 1964, in Staunton, a son of the late Lillian "Libby" E. Harris.
Steven was employed with Wintergreen Property Owner's Association where he worked as a Supervisor for Road Maintenance.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 18 years, Lisa Ballowe Allen; brothers, Edward Allen of Stuarts Draft, Robert Allen of Lynchburg, and Glen Allen and his wife, Jenny, of Waynesboro; stepbrother, Gary Small and his wife, Marilyn, of Nellysford; mother and father-in-law James and Peggy Ballowe of Beech Grove; sister-in-law, Wanda Ballowe, also of Beech Grove; brother-in-law, Jimmy Ballowe and his wife, Debbie, of Rhue Hollow; several aunts and uncles, two nieces, two nephews and many other loving relatives and friends.
In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by his stepfather, Elwood Small.
Graveside service will be held 2 p.m. Friday, May 28, 2010, at Beech Grove Cemetery by Mr. Robert Mansfield.
Byrum-Parr Funeral Home is serving the family.
The family will receive friends at anytime at his home, 3141 Beech Grove Road.
