Thomas Alma Parmenter Sr.
Thomas Alma Parmenter Sr., 63, of Charlottesville, passed away on Saturday, April 23, 2011, at University of Virginia Medical Center.
He was born in Orlando, Florida, on June 3, 1947, the son of the late Thomas William Parmenter and Geraldine Lawrence Parmenter.
He was a member of the Harley Davidson Owners Group.
Survivors include his wife of nearly 42 years, Laura E. Parmenter, their son, Thomas A. Parmenter Jr. and his wife, Stacey, and their daughter, Becky Williamson and her husband, Jason; four grandsons, Thomas A. Parmenter III, Tyler Snoddy, Zeke Williamson and Daniel Williamson; two brothers, Richard Parmenter and Donald Parmenter; a sister, Linda Williams; and several nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held 1 p.m. Wednesday, April 27, 2011, at the Hill and Wood Chapel, with Pastor Clay Marsh officiating. Burial will immediately follow at Riverview Cemetery.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a charity of your choice.

Dear Laura, Tom and Becky,
Needless to say Ed and I were shocked to hear of Tom's passing. Laura, you have been such a comfort to me in my time of need with Ed's disease and I want you to know I will be here for you. We have been such close friends for so many years and I cherish all of the good times we had while our children were growing, especially the practical jokes we played at Ed's expense. You know that we will get together not to far in the future and talk and laugh over old times.
