Tommie Colley Obituary
Tommie Love Lancaster Colley departed this life Thursday, October 15, 2009, at age 77, after a lengthy illness.
A service in Tommie's memory will be held 2 p.m. Sunday, October 25, 2009, in the Abbott Center Auditorium at the Colgate Darden Graduate School of Business Administration in Charlottesville. Interment was held Oakdale Cemetery in Wilmington, North Carolina, 2 p.m. Sunday, October 18, 2009.
Tommie is survived by John Leonard Colley Jr. her husband of 58 years; and by her children, John Lawrence Colley, Claire Colley Brockman and Thomas Michael Colley. She is also survived by her children's spouses, Amelia Holder Colley, William Marshall Brockman and Cathleen Ann DeAngelis Colley; and by her loving grandchildren, Elizabeth Lancaster Colley, John Richard Colley, Anne Estelle Brockman, Claire Marie Colley and Domenic Leonard Colley.
Tommie and her family extend gratitude to Dr. Gordon Morris and his staff for the excellent care and kind personal attention given to her over the years of her illness.
In lieu of flowers, friends who wish may make a donation in Tommie's memory to The Martha Jefferson Hospital Cancer Care Center in care of Dr. Gordon Morris, Attention Martha Jefferson Hospital Foundation, 459 Locust Avenue, Charlottesville, VA 22902.
