Dear Nancy,

I worked for Dr. Root as a hygienist from '87 to '89. I always tell anyone who knows him that he was a kind and generous person,

I remember him studying for hours at his desk. He was always teaching himself something new, always stretching his limits and expanding his mind.

While he was practicing Physiologic Dentistry and Functional Othodontics, he was a man on fire. Our community really missed an opportunity when they ignored his gifts.

I will never forget how devoted he was to you. Even when he may have seemed distracted, you were the center of his world.

He changed my life by helping me with my occlusion, but even more so by his fine example of how to live.

Dear Nancy (BFF) and family,

Ted and are so saddened by the news of John's passing. He was such a great guy. I wish we could have visited you more often, but it is a long way between Wayneboro and Santa Cruz, CA.

You are in our thoughts and prayers,

lots of love,
